Vaupel President New Jersey Association for Gifted Children Our MissionThe New Jersey Association for Gifted Children will promote excellence and leadership in gifted education through appropriate programs, resource networks and community advocacy. The New Jersey Association for Gifted Children (NJAGC), a state chapter of the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC), was incorporated on April 2, 1991 by a small group of interested educators who realized the need to affiliate with a nationally recognized association. Each year our membership has increased dramatically as awareness grows that the needs of gifted children must be served. We serve as a public advocate to disseminate information concerning the needs of gifted and talented children. Membership is open to anyone who is concerned about the needs of gifted children in our schools. Among our ranks are parents, teachers, coordinators/supervisors of gifted programs, administrators, specialists and consultants, school board members and community citizens. NJAGC is a volunteer organization which reaches out to parents, educators and friends of gifted children. Your questions and comments are important to us. Suggestions are welcomed! If you can help NJAGC meet our goals, please indicate your areas of interest and your availability in the correspondence.
We are looking forward to hearing from you!
