2 ways to speak out
Letter to Elected OfficialsYour elected officials respond best to constituents. At times NJAGC has a message for our federal and state elected officials that we will write for you to send, via email or webform, on behalf of gifted students in NJ.
In order to help in this way, please send your name, home mailing address and email to advocacy@njagc.org There is strength in numbers and we need your help. |
Public TestimonyThe State Board of Education meets monthly and hears public testimony. Most months the topics are limited to agenda items. Testimony in September, January and May are "open topics." NJAGC requests your help to speak about the needs of gifted learners. These hearings generally run on Wednesday afternoon in Trenton, at the DOE.Those wishing to present must register in advance, online or by phone. Multiple printed copies of the testimony are requested. Details about registering to speak can be found at http://www.nj.gov/education/sboe/meetings/pubtest.shtml
Please be aware of the timelines to register and the five minute presentation limit. |
